Founded in 1919, Junior Achievement is the world’s largest and fastest growing not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating young people about business, economics and free enterprise. JA (Junior Achievement) Zimbabwe is an organization with a mission to economically empower Zimbabwe’s youth by bridging the gap between classroom education and the world of work. It is a private sector initiative and became a Member Nation of JA Worldwide (initially JA International) in October 1998.

JA is registered in Zimbabwe as a not-for profit trust organization. JA programs focus on the core content areas of financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship and provide experiential learning opportunities for young people to prepare for their professional lives in the 21st century. More than 600,000 young people, both in-school and out-of-school, rural and urban took part in JA programs in Zimbabwe since 1999.

With 5 Site Program Offices in 5 provinces, JA Zimbabwe reaches over 100,000 young people annually, building skills and access to opportunity and employment.
